Addie Pearl Designs
My website is named after my two grandmothers. Addie, my paternal
grandmother, loved to crochet. Even though she passed in 1956, her work
lives on. I have some of her hand crochet doilies that still has the
original sugar starch in them. My Maternal grandmother, Pearl, was a
quilter. My one and only sister is the one who has taught me most
everything I know about sewing. She is a super seamstress. Now, she
quilts the most beautiful quilts I have ever seen. My Mother and Aunt
also helped me when I first started to sew.
So with these females in my family tree, I just had to love needlecrafts
myself. I have tried my hand at crochet, knitting, hand embroidery,
smocking, and sewing. I got my first embroidery machine when I retired
from a career of teaching high school math. I have ‘dabbled’ with
digitizing for quite a number of years and finally got serious about it
a few years ago. I have to thank Sue L. for her lessons and willingness
to help me when I was in over my head.
I have found something that I really enjoy doing and love the feeling of
sewing out a new design,
Thanks to my customers for helping to make my dream come true.
